March 2018 Meeting

Our March meeting was held at Lee Valley Tools in Niagara Falls.  ​

The theme of the meeting was Ship Framing terminology presented by Alan and based on his build of a 17th century wooden ship.

Brandon, our newest member brought in his scratch build clinker planked cutter and it's display case along with some of his hand tools he used to build it all.  The hull was built on the mould (see to the left in the photo below) that he had also built.

Ray brought in his scratch built skiff filled with a display of colourful dry flowers.

Ron brought his naval gun back so we could see some of the progress in the model build.
